Top Left Trails' Loam Town Social Was a Hit!
What an incredible evening at the Loam Town Social! Top Left Trails Co-Op, a local group devoted to building and maintaining mountain bike trails in the area, held their fundraiser event last Saturday evening (10/11/2025). The turnout was fantastic, drawing in both local mountain bike enthusiasts and racers from the Dirty Downhill event.
Lincoln Park Grocery* provided a perfect backdrop, transforming their back patio and yard area into a lively outdoor venue. A DJ spinning vinyl set the mood while guests enjoyed a selection of great adult and N/A beverages from the outdoor bar. The food spread was truly impressive, featuring oysters, crawfish, barbecue, and an extensive snack selection from the grocery. With multiple fire pits glowing, the atmosphere was warm, friendly, and community-focused.
Fundraising and Local Trail News
The fundraising portion of the evening showcased an enormous raffle table full of amazing prizes – a testament to the generous support of local businesses. Top Left Trails made sure everything was well-labeled, revving the stoke for all the local donors. The excitement was amplified by a wide variety of donations, including our contributions: a Specialized Rockhopper plus a selection of helmets, floor pumps and knee pads provided directly from Specialized.
Top Left Trails took advantage of the gathering to share some exciting future plans, including updates on logging operations on the front side of Dry Hill and the news of a new progression drop line coming to the Coville Trails, the bike park they helped build and maintain off Colville Road.
Support Top Left Trails
As someone who has planned countless outdoor industry events at past jobs, I was genuinely impressed with the execution of the Loam Town Social. Events of this caliber require immense time and effort, and it showed. The logistics were on point, the food was amazing, the tunes were rocking, and the community vibe was palpable. It's clear that if Top Left Trails can build on this momentum, they are poised to do some truly cool things for our local mountain biking areas.
If you haven't already, please make sure to check out the Top Left Trails website. The work they do—from planning to advocacy to actual shovel work—is critical to maintaining and growing our trail network. Please consider making a donation or signing up to help maintain our local trails. Every hour and every dollar goes directly into making our riding better.

* A Quick Note on Lincoln Park Grocery:
If you haven't been, make sure to check out Lincoln Park Grocery. I’m a regular there, whether it’s for a post-ride bevy on their back patio or front counter, or to load up on local groceries and tasty snacks. I especially love their selection of thin-crisp crackers and tinned fish. My family always had these Scandinavian snacks around growing up, and it's one of the few places I've found that consistently carries them. They are a true local gem and perfect for pre or post ride snacks.
