Sound Bikes and Kayaks has a complete rental program for both bikes and kayaks. We'll help you explore safely!
Whether you're a visitor or local, renting is a great way to "test the waters" to learn more about both sports and what sort of equipment is right for you. We're big fans of "try before you buy!"
Bikes Bike Rental Prices: $10 per hour $45 for the day (based on hours of operation) $10 overnight charge Get a rental bike to explore the beautiful Olympic Peninsula on your own or try the Olympic Discovery Trail which is right outside our front door. We have comfort bikes for the casual rider, road bikes for touring/distance cyclists and front suspension mountain bikes for trail and cross country riders. We provide helmets and water bottle holders, as well as locks upon request. Maps are also available to get you there and back! The pedals on the rentals are a standard flat pedal. If you want clipless pedals, please bring them and your shoes. We will be happy to put them on the bike for you. We have a 2” receiver 3-bike rack available for rent as well as a bumper/back hatch rack. Bikes are available for single-day, multi-day and weekly rentals. Discounts are available on five-day and weeklong rentals. There are group rates for 8 or more. To reserve your rental in advance, please email or call with a credit card number. Your credit card will not be charged until the day of rental. If you cancel the reservation at least 24 hours ahead of time, there will be no charge. If cancelled the day of the rental, a 25% charge will be imposed. |
Kayak Rentals Kayak Rental Prices: $15 per hour $50 for the day (based on hours of operation) Kayak rentals are available year round. There are great places to paddle within minutes of the store. See the Tours page for examples, or ask at the shop. If you are a map junky, we have a good selection available. Kayak rentals are available on an hourly, daily or multi-day basis. We offer group (8 or more) and multi-day (4 or more) discounts. Kayak rental is subject to approval based on paddler’s skill and water/weather conditions. If you have not kayaked before, we are happy to arrange a tour for you. That will enable you to have the adventure you are looking for with a guide to give paddling pointers and assistance, if needed. Kayak rental includes the paddle, pfd (lifejacket), paddle float and pump, and spray skirt (if applicable). Wetsuits are available for rent. What you should wear: Wool, polypropylene or fleece garments. DO NOT wear jeans and t-shirts. Bring sunscreen, camera, snacks, water, chapstick and a hat. We have shuttle service available if arranged in advance. Kayak carts and wheels are also available to rent. Minors are not allowed to rent a kayak without parental consent and signature on file with a visa card imprint at the store. We are not responsible for your child if you rent a kayak for them. |
