Mount Deception, Olympic National Park
Your adventure begins with a moderately strenuous hike along Royal Creek deep into Olympic National Park. Picturesque meadows welcome you to Royal Meadows and then Royal Lake. The trail continues to climb into a splendid alpine scenery. Waterfalls crash down hillsides as you cross Arrowhead Meadow, cresting into the sublime Upper Royal Basin. An amphitheater worthy of its name, Upper Royal Basin is surrounded by craggy peaks with Mt Deception standing sentinel. |
